The wave against the niqab and burqa seems never ending in Europe. However, the wives and daughters of the wealthy Arab sheikhs would be ‘liberated’ from the imposition of law, exposing the double standards in selective application of curbs in Belgium and France.
While attacking Libya and carefully monitoring other Middle Eastern nations, the burqa would not trigger an unpleasant diplomatic row with the oil-rich Gulf nations. May it be Asia or Europe, madness of rightwing politicians can only be checked by conscientious youth taking to the streets for basic fundamental rights of citizens and residents both.

About a decade after the 9/11 attacks, shortsighted politicians and drawing room analysts dominate media headlines painting a doomsday scenario for the future. Mutually hostile camps with deeply vested interests drag the world to the brink of conflicts, religious, ethnic and cultural.
